Similar to other classical societies, China enforced political and military control to properly manage their territories.
As the regions started to to develop, the promotion of trade and communication was found within the empires, causing self-sufficient regions to have a larger economy and society. Distant regions accepted the spread of cultural traditions, constructing institutional frameworks to further increase the influence and survival of those traditions. This period of connection contributed to the creation of the Silk Roads, which brought a variety of manufactured products and agricultural commodities, along with new religions.
However, along with religious faiths, infectious diseases spread by the trade routes. This epidemic largely impacted China and the Mediterranean, mainly by weakening the Han and Roman empires, causing their decline and fall.
